Funded by UK Covernmentlogo

Marches Energy Agency (MEA) has secured funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund via Shropshire Council for the Community Climate Connectors (CCC) project.

With over 25 years of experience in helping people keep warm and reduce their carbon footprint, MEA recognises the increasing demand for such services. The CCC project aims to empower community groups across Shropshire with the necessary tools and resources to build capacity to ensure everyone can access the help they need.

As part of this, Save Our Shropshire is collaborating with Marches Energy Agency’s CCC project to provide tailored training for interested community groups in low-carbon living awareness and energy efficiency and on marketing and admin support.

This comprehensive package will equip local volunteers with the knowledge and skills to further support their communities.

But why is this knowledge sharing so important?

In Shropshire, like many other areas, households are struggling to keep warm, are facing high energy bills, and are contributing to unnecessary carbon emissions.

By building capacity with this training from our volunteers, we can ensure that every household has access to advice and assistance to stay warm, save energy, and cut carbon.

Together, we can create a more sustainable and resilient Shropshire where everyone can thrive while protecting our planet for future generations.

If you are interested in getting involved in delivering training or want to know more about what’s on offer please email richard@saveourshropshire.org
